I feel in the ultimate cost containment motorsport, Crate Late Models, blueprinting motors, which starts with trying to take apart a sealed motor just to see how big of advantage you'd get. And, people would lose it all the way back like they wanted to pull Samuel L. Jackson all the way back.
But, the reality is we have more of an academic lead and less of a physical lead. That causes a lot of problems that need solving or beg to need solving. If we had to say after a while, so and so would need to be on the road or his wife/kids/girlfriend would leave him. Then, he is pressed on the road to make money and he can't go home, which leaves a lot of different problems.
And, the moral is not everyone knows how to be composed. And not everyone would be swayed to stay just for 1 Person and 1 Person Only. And, generally, most people play by the rules, but, I doubt people would like people who are so hardupped they need a payday to stay off the phone or lottery circuit.
Sadly, we are stuck with a period that is not stately or easygoing. And, its harder to turn around and be a team on a dime. And we are capable of pulling the unbelievable off, but, it'd be harder to carry anything on our backs when we are anchored as-is.
