Traditionally, we would have our Cup Series Short Tracks right when the lilies bloom. The irony in all of this, is usually, we would have our Traditional Cup Series Short Track Stops, where Martinsville's Night Race would be pushed into the Summer.
Generally, the weather would be hit or miss, but, the fact is NOTHING would replace the Full Fuel Runs in Racing. I don't want to just nose willy-nilly on key decisions, but, we'd race Martinsville en route to Chicagoland, and Bristol en route to the Brickyard.
This was already an off the wall year, and that was without the Virus. And, we would have Richmond between the Brickyard and Kentucky. Normally, I would be jacked up about who would be in the Indianapolis 500 or the All Star Race, but, the fact is we'd need something, even if it is not graduations, having the Coca Cola 600 would build an otherwise drab Memorial Day.
I don't see a thrill losing our Traditional Cup Series Stops on their scheduled time and the next Potential Regularly Scheduled Short Track Race would be the Red, White and Blue Weekend. I feel better that NASCAR held on having to pull an April Fool's Press Conference, because there would be people who would not take it seriously enough.
