I don't usually do a 6th Post, and that is for good reason, quality control and spam avoidance reasons. But, the fact Brittany Murphy being uncomfortably and erratically close to her signature Luanne Platter Character led King of the Hill to be Cancelled 3 Times.
The 1st 2 Times Became a Nickelodeon Styled Battle of Telephone which led to the reversal of certain cancellations that Mike Judge had to reaffirm fans and Press Releases that King of the Hill still was reluctantly renewed.
And, the 3rd Time, when Brittany Murphy's erratic behavior was beyond the point of no return, Rupert Murdoch himself stood by the Cancellation, which the whole run included two different Cancellations and two different revivals of the Family Guy.
I'd feel Brittany Murphy came in right before the superceding Youthquake of the Late 1990s/Early 2000s. I even used to kid that Brittany Murphy was closer to Luanne Platter after her 8 Mile Acting Stint that surprise, she got the short shrift on any honors. The kidding stopped being fun and games, even without as terrain of Social Media as we have now, and to make it worse, there where too many parties in over their heads at the time.
If they lost Brittany Murphy when "King of the Hill" was looping, it would have ended the show like if we lost Kathy Najimy or Mike Judge. Brittany Murphy's Behavior was so sloppy and erratic that they'd looped "The Cleveland Show" before it premiered as King of the Hill's Tangible Replacement, causing a severe hit to "Family Guy" and the fact both Family Guy and King of the Hill where peak ratings in their Home Territories (Dallas/Fort Worth and Providence) that it thinned out National Nielsen Ratings.
I'd think for all the mysteries that have carved longer than losing Celebrity Starlets, rather than just actresses, and that is 10 Years, we have had 3 of the 4 Arena Football League Iteriations (China Included), I doubt we've been owed the truth beyond inconclusive on the Cause of Death.
