Actually Wanting 74 Home Runs or 763 Career Home Runs...

I feel like there are a lot of things that are getting Baseball and Olympic Sports Fans Fired Up and not in a good way. If I had to say 62 Home Runs by August 29th, that would be the sweetest Mama Mia of them all.  Besides Injuries being Injuries, I feel that my arc of wanting the Record Book or the top of it is legit.

There is no way we'd Vote Astros into Cooperstown. We'd vote Negro League or Other Hard Cases before we get swept away into empty hype. I'd feel like wanting to annoy the Atlanta Braves into 1st Place, only to pump out Ticket Runs.

Even if we where of prose, there is nothing romantic with forced success. Even 108 was a Historical Footnote and not a Sharona. Romance would be waiting until 2027 for a Chicago World Series and Romance would be waiting until 2029 for a Red Sox-Cubs World Series.  Both would be classics because of the empty and turbulent emotions that would consume the North Side of Chicago.

I would think fun would be a San Diego-Baltimore World Series and fun would be an Atlanta-Seattle World Series. Fun would not be Scoreboard Watching or having to hope someone just loses it for someone else to have fun.

Where is the Spirit of 74 Home Runs or 763 Home Runs?

I feel in the not so happy anniversary of the Mitchell Report, the Spirit of 74 Home Runs or 763 Home Runs is lost. And, dissing Babe Ruth is not one of them.

And, speaking of not one of them, being in an arcane maze is what we don't want. What is rude is the Montreal Expos STILL lead everyone in Postseason Hexes and the Minnesota Twins missed out on another Goldy.

Spirit means not everyone in your family acts like they work for the Yankees. As if we still have relatively winnable divisions or dominatable all time greatness.

Losing a lot of your Mexico, Central, South and Caribbean Family Members is not Currier OR Ives. I feel reality is hurting and prospects and phoenoms litter your programs for no better.

This is not the spade we want or want to see. It would be as fun as Quagmire directing Little Women, which has no business or sense in. The sorrow is too deep in being industrial and we get too much of that.
