Pro Stock's Extreme Makeover Did More Harm than Good

I feel like Pro Stock's Extreme Makeover to be like its Cup Series Counterpart did more harm than good. There are times where the makeover does more harm than good and we realized we'd liked things the way they where.

I feel that for the longest time, I feel that the pipeline needs refilling and we'd need to find our way back. This is not the Whales, not Jackson State and not our relatives, but, heaven forbid, I would want to see the Pro Mod Era Cars or at least better new cars in Pro Stock.

The car equation would be a problem because the first rule is finding our way back. I don't think having to clone a Trans Am works, and it is always that people who are interested in the class and interested in winning big will make the class the King of the Doorslammers.

I don't see NHRA membership as a Catchall, and I feel like I'd want to see someone at least put their focus on winning every major Motorsports Major. I would feel like for as much as Greg Anderson won in 2003-2004, I don't see as much merchandise on my Marion Streets like that.

I don't think NHRA Members want to see Butters impressions of "I'm a Bad Man" because these circumstances are just too bad. In a normal year, commitment would fill like the rivers and oceans and I feel like it would be tough to keep National Sponsors happy without having to be lost in the shuffle.

What if we had too much of a Good thing at Ken Black (When We Don't Have Nice Things to Begin With In the First Place)

I hate to spin and weave who would Jason Line's 2021 Replacement be when we haven't gotten into the motions of Preseason Testing, but, if we had Tanner Gray/Dave Connolly return to order again, we'd have too much of a Good Thing at Ken Black (When We Don't Have Nice Things to Begin With in the First Place).

I would think one way or another, having to break the Camaro Wall of the Class, which we'd need people make 40 Rounds left and right, and we'd have a little something that most people are missing and that is forethought.

I wouldn't want it to be anointed, nor I'd want Williams to bicker over a Formula 2 Car and Haas to bicker over a Formula 4040 Car or a Formula 3020 Car to mechanically degrade an already degraded program to start with. There is not a lot of constructive energy in the Truck Series, and it shows with TV, TV Marketing, and a lot of other things.

It would already be through the roof having to expect anyone good be filling out Pro Stock just to have reasonable, competent fields. We'd need, if anything, Stevie Fast try to transfer rank, or make his 1st Indianapolis 500 just to bring the Borg Warner Trophy to South Georgia and someone's Wedding or Graduation.

I wouldn't mind Viral, but, it being Beautifully Timed would be greater. No one has broken the Winston Wall of Winning in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock. If we had the wonder of the beauty, we'd have a USA-1 Pro Stock Champion when we've had runs, like it was not healthy. (Darrell Alderman was not a healthy run, Bo Butner III is Uncomfortably Relatable, and Everyone Hated Lee Shepherd not winning 5 In A Row when he died)

Pro Stock Would Begin and End at the Defending Champion

For as many Blogs, Podcasts, and Message Boards trying to parrot how to cut Pro Stock Costs, I feel the most evident thing is having the Series Begin and End at the Defending Champion. I don't mean losing on track (Lee Shepherd), or losing the 2nd Defense Entirely and leaving the 3rd Defense Unfinished (Darrell Alderman), or trying to go from Pro Stock Champion to trying to win the Championship in the Stock Car Equal to Comp (Tanner Gray).

I feel like other than having to actually need Self Sufficient Adults that are not Adrenaline Junkies, I feel like we'd need a strat for the Pro 1. I don't mean the DOT Orange like Lucas Oil, but, I feel there'd have to be a coded defense for outgoing Series Champions (Detail Remarks), Defending Champions, and Points Leaders.

The area that would get fuzzy is having to see Sponsor and Manufacturer Interest in the Series, because it is not just Chevrolet having an Ironman Hold on the Series, it would be the Chevrolet Camaro having an Ironman Hold on the Pinnacle of Stock Drag Racing.

I feel the wrong things would be a Fool's Errand, and they are. We need to replace Englishtown, and we'd need to replace Wall Stadium with a 1967 Madison Square Garden, which is languating. This is not heavenly, a joke or anything to be proud of.

Mountain Motor vs. 500 CI Pro Stock: How it will Break Again

Generally, people actually care for the King of the Doorslammers, and the Pinnacle of Stock Drag Racing, Pro Stock. I feel such a battle between the Mountain Motors and the 500 CI would be necessary again, but, I feel the biggest area would be qualifying.

We have machinists running Mountain Motor and I doubt a whole surge of Jr. Dragster Alumni will inundate the Pros next season. I wish that was true, but that is not the case.

I feel everything will break at Qualifying. I don't think anything else would happen, other than trying to break the International Airport Culture that has caused bad habits in the Sport.

KERS still is not an acceptable topic in Formula One, and for a long while, we went punchier on the alternatives. The fact of the matter is being edgy loses it edge, and everyday it becomes as common as breathing.

I think the focus would be on 216 and Beyond as the Mile Per Hour Mark. What I think is 202 will happen in Pro Stock Motorcycle and I think the Miles Per Hour race will start to be a frenzy again.

I don't think NHRA or anyone was designed as a Catchall, but, I feel like there'd have to be enough Pro Stockers to counter the Gassers and these other cars in our future.

Multiple Different Types of Stock Cars is Confusing to the Fans

I feel like having to air either 1st Division, or 1st Division Short Track Stock Cars should be the high bar. Even though I will not win 19 Nobel Peace Prizes (Even though it would have been a rip after Homer Simpson's Mr. X in "The Computer that Wore Menace Shoes") and a real rip for having Tookie Williams, Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan all work over a career academic.

I think where the multiple different types of Stock Cars started nosing over was after ASA with Limited Late Models and Super Late Models. And, Crate Late Models (Paved and Dirt) is another day from Hades for Stock Car Short Track Fans as well and I feel if a Strong Late Model Numbers (Which We Don't Have), and Stronger Big Series Numbers (Which ARCA Stopped Trying a While Back to Be Late Model).

But, for our sake, I feel like we can't have guys and gals who'd lose their crazy. Or pit crew members resort to family violences in the shadows of Eldora's Truck Race. I can't be living on Promises and Excuses.

And, the No Prep/Street Outlaws nonsense is ripping up Pro Stock. I feel like when we lost Top Alcohol, it was bogus claims and claim jumps as well. And, what jars me about not having Pro Stock the Scare is at least, could we be working on 65 Cars Entered at Indianapolis for the 65th US Nationals?  Just because there are more places to grab our money doesn't make them right.

How to Handle Pro Stock Like An Adult

The majority of Pro Stockers, Drag Racers, Racers and Athletes are NOT interested in the saccharin of the Extracirccular the wrong way. Even though we casually passed Accident to Tragedy long ago, that is not allright or okay.

But, I feel handling Pro Stock like an adult is okay. And, okay is having to work the Mountain Motors in and work out from Pro Mod. Okay is having every single 18 to 25 Year Old Say , "Let's Get Married". That ok is a bit extreme, but, I'd rather have OK than Hammer.

But, I feel there has to be a MPH/Points/Money Bonus long overdue. And, as a fan, purely, I'd be thinking of either contributing Cs for acheivement or 7k like the Art Museum. And, to be frank, I am starvy for happy vibes.

Elams are more ok than any gimmick. But, we'd have to be stronger at business to be safe, and not just be left to a more macho Road Rules.

Let's Stop Playing Rigid in Pro Stock Car

I feel like I'd be rolling tangents for everyone's Christmas Party, namely LUCKY is Bo Butner III, Courtney Force, and Robert Hight sweeping NHRA for Chevy. And, what I'd be made to Win, is I'd be pushed into work just to get different kind of cars in Pro Stock Car.

I feel lets stop playing rigid in Pro Stock Car. And, I feel I'd put the Pontiac Badge on the Camaro and call it a Firebird. Even though it would still be expensive, like adding 14 More to the NHRA 50, but, I feel we can't process anything without a legacy.

And, I'd feel like I'd win Dinner Party invites IF we stopped playing rigid in Pro Stock Car. And, I feel what is not proper is Jim Yates not winning the Big Go.

And, in the fighting chances of Mr. Geinzer, I feel like people quit the hype Cold Turkey because the Bachelorette was thrown into winning a Dirty Dog over a Dirty Dog while the Stockbroker decayed and she never could understand the mascot. And, let's add the scoops again and I feel we get sick of getting confused between Pro Stock Car and Pro Stock Modifieds.

It's a bit late to meld Jim and Robert Yates. And, I feel not everyone plays or wants to play games, either.

A Common Ground on Pro Stock Car and Pro Stock Modified

I feel that this year, the Pro Mods look too much like Pro Stockers and the Pro Stockers look too chopped. And, I feel, too, there's no real bid for anyone to give up their Detroit Metal and having to go East and West as a bid to get more marquees on the Quarter Mile has to be inevitable in the Stock Car and Stock Modified Division.

And, it feels like an empty argument or empty battle, and to make matters worse, I think the only real answer would be try to float a Busch Grand Nationalized Pro Stock Car and a Pro Stock Modified Feeder or Eliminator Series, which, the NHRA's worked hard to avoid the word "Eliminator" on their Pro Program since 1993.

But, I feel that doing professionalism so good that everything corporate and every Thursday-Sunday or Wednesday-Saturday feels drained. And, while we are stuck on the bad news or get harshed out until we got nothing of nothing, which is very far if not too far down, I felt over the Winter trying to get new races on the board to get things going again.

And, while we are on the nostalgia, I think, too, they'd try to base on the 1989 and Before, but, what about those of us that grew on the 1990s Wars and Cars? The least we could do is at least return National Sponsorship a decent National Plate, even if it is in the Nostalgia Funny Car and Top Fuel.
