Grown Ups: The Duke Version

 The problem with Duke is that they don't have enough Grown Ups to Power a 6th Championship. And, it would not be getting better as the years go on. The retribution of NC State and their Strong Armed Offer will be felt in True ACC Territory.

The retaliation is North Carolina is Going About Making their Program Even Worse than It Really Is, and Duke has more Fan Boys than Rational Fans. I'd feel that UConn has argued their way out of a Powerhouse, Indiana has pissed people off, Kansas is Not Ethical and UCLA and Donor Fatigue go Arm In Arm.

Where I'd get worked up over is the "I Hate Christian Laettner" Duke-Kentucky not being allowed to happen in Lexington or me having to Work Up the Eastern Iowa Economy with Duke Proceeding to Eat All My Iowa City-Coralville Food and take All My Iowa City-Coralville Reservations.

The further away Duke gets from Coach K, they more they'd have to realize they'd have to fundraise. And, a huge part of that is Replacing Cameron Indoor Coliseum.

I Would Lose Respect for Tony Elliott if Oregon Came to Stoop In

 I would lose respect for Tony Elliott if Oregon Came to Stoop In to take advantage of his Uncertain Wave to Virginia. The reality is Oregon does not need a Plant to replace Cristobal. 

I feel if Virginia misses this hire, it would be all them, and I want them to break their Conference Hex. Them and Duke are going neck and neck for the same hire, and Duke is going at it like leverage.

If Oregon had a Plant, it would cause the Leaving Los Angeles exodus to worsen and they have not had anyone long term since Mike Bellotti. Oregon does not need Plants.

What Oregon would do is further worsen key programs and I doubt if it was Alabama vs. Oregon in the Rose Bowl, the gravity would have lent closer to Alabama. The West will be chaotic for another 5 Years and I doubt they are an Arch Manning away from solving their problems ago.

Coach K's Retirement Will Bust A Nerve in The Basketball Community

 I feel like for the Coach K's Retirement Today, it busts a nerve in the Basketball Community. We already have places either opening up or going to open up.

Even though North Carolina saved my life 3 Times in My Formative Years, I'd think Duke is what drew fans and adults into College and College Diplomas. I can't deny especially how Coach K was a consistent through everything.

This is a heavy Sports Day and we'd keep running like the Holiday Weekend never ended. From a USA Basketball Prospective, it does matter what difference it makes between Coach K and Popovich. Even though Lisbon had a Couple of Coach K's, especially if the 1st One I'd monikered out of being amusing, especially when it was a Homecoming Date, Big Ol' Fish, and USC had much to do with everything.

This would be an impossible job and replacing Cameron Indoor would be an impossible job, too.

ZionCare: Having to Diagnose Formally Zion Williamson

With Zion Williamson being done for the season, in front of our living Camelot, 44th United States President Barack Obama, and many of millions on billions of fans, I feel like that injury handed that title to Gonzaga. Right or wrong, I'll stand on that even if UNLV Midnight Raids the Winter and Spring.

I feel like paying him to recover would be wrong on so many levels. I feel this is not just another 6 to 9 Months, but, 6 to 9 Months of Recovery and having to make back School before Basketball. Where it'd be porous would be New York City, where it'd be a bizarre mob scene like Marv Albert was spared Prison and WCW was the first big show in Quebec City after the Nordiques got bought out.

I would see a return on the camelot breaker of November 2020, and it would be a ploy on Duke's End to keep sponsors happy and you'd have BOTH that and Coach K Retiring playing us like the Yankees in 1st Place. (This is not the 1960s and sadly, fans would not suffer well just losing the title track JUST over Zion being down.)

The whole "say a little prayer" routine would only work if the stability trumped the objectification and how our current president would free himself to 4 More Years would be a free willy here or there.

Duke vs. Kentucky Silver Reunion in the NIT at the Palestra?

I feel for all the times every Spring that Christian Laettner's shot gets replayed to the chagrin of Kentucky Fans across the world, it feels like the stars are setting up for a Duke vs. Kentucky Silver Reunion. But, it would have been under the NCAA's Nose in the NIT and with the rhapsody of where it'd be, I'd say it would have been in the 1st Round of the NIT at the Palestra.

It is feeling that way because A.) Kentucky is a better collection of individuals than career players. B.)Grayson Allen is wrecking the terminal and if that was me, as a Sports Fan and a citizen, I would have stated drug test before any and all reinstatements. C.) Without Coach K again, the art of Duke and USA Basketball would crash in the ocean.

Even though the NIT is in the NCAA Family, but, I feel postseason reform and expansion is a long overdue and necessary hawk that has been making me go for years. And, the NCAA would have to acquire the NAIA carte blanche to make up for the O'Bannon Case.

I feel that either way, the unaccount in this is Grayson Allen will keep playing destructive, and with no Coach K in the office, it wouldn't help Grayson Allen stay on his school. I feel that for Jeff Capel, Grayson Allen would be the red line in the sand for certain Athletic Directors, and basketball is overdue to properly develop athletes and subsequently focus on paying responsible professionals.
