99 Forever!

This is not a Happy Post, especially if Greg Moore would have been 50 Years Young Today. And, it doesn't get any easier for Vancouver, who still mourns their Hero to this day.

Greg Moore's Loss is Emotional Enough without having to find out about it how I found out about it.

It was the 1st Night I was Home from Iowa City and I was scrolling the Internet at my Parents and I found out Greg Moore died. And, to add to the 7 Layer Dip, losing the 99 would have hurt any feasible Merger Chances while the economy was still soft later.

And, it took me a long time to get on someone from the Scene after that, and it took Dan Wheldon, who later became a Different Tragedy to get me back to the Scene.

My General Attitude in High School whenever CART or IRL was on TV was "Peace Out, I'm Watching the Arena Football League!". That is a different post and story for another time.

Greg Moore would have been more Maestro than Maestro (Rick Mears) and time has not softened my True Feelings at all.

Anger Management and Greg Moore

I do not bring pride in having to bring up the Anniversary of Losing Greg Moore, even though it is Ward Burton How Many Years. I feel that at the time of losing Greg Moore, I was in the Hospital in Iowa City over Behavioral Problems and I was not aware of it until 2 Days Later when I came home briefly and that was its own Boardroom Arguments, trust me.

After Tony Stewart left for NASCAR and Al Unser,Jr. fell off, Greg Moore was my Living Ride or Die IndyCar Hero. It took me after Greg Moore, having to hook the McDonald's Car and Justin Wilson, who's since passed on, to have a Rooting Driver Interest Again.

I'd really want the 99 back and want to see the Rust Belt Sprint Car Racer, even though I've hit out wanting High School Alma Maters Locally and In State just to get someone in Open Wheel again.

I'd always say I'd rather Beat My Heroes than My Friends like it was a Cosplay before Cosplay, but, that's how I'd feel and how I'd live.

Greg Moore and Many Other Losses would have changed Auto Racing for the Better

I am not just writing this because Greg Moore won his 1st Indy Car Race on My 12th Birthday. Or because of Black Flags Matter's Resplendent detail of this post. I would feel at the time, Tony Stewart hightailed it to NASCAR and Alex Zanardi hightailed it back to F1 and Open Wheel was in starving need of a Rick Mears.

The story of how I lost Greg Moore is emotional and upsetting, more so than normal. I was in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for Behavioral Problems and I didn't find out I lost Greg Moore until 2 Days Later when I got home.

Losing Greg Moore caused Open Wheel Ratings to crash through the boards for a while in the Early 2000's and it took me Dan Wheldon even to be interested in Open Wheel again. It didn't help when Dan Wheldon died that I was a lobster because my one coworker at the time brought up Swede Savage and that made me upset and that was too close to the Tricks and the Frights of Halloween and losing Greg Moore.

I would think where Racing History would have been different for the better is where Helio would not have gone unaccountable, Adam Petty would have made a 4th Generation into 30 or 40, and Dale Earnhardt,Sr. would have delayed or cancelled some of these careless pushes.

What losing 99 did was permenantly impose the Split's Victory on the IRL and Indianapolis Motor Speedway rather than having a True Merger defacto. Even in my Newton Years, I think the biggest reaction was Hinchcliffe winning with Greg Moore's Real Gloves, but, Hinchtown or Wickens never was Greg Moore and we have had an Indy Car Scene littered with real characters and Where's Waldo, even after the split.

We don't have Indy Lights and I feel we have not put forethought into the celebrities we should have pushed because a lot of them are playing for the camera, which is dangerous.

99 FOREVER!
