Houston Raceway Park was All Go from the Start

Houston Raceway Park is the Wild West of Dragstrips as we've had Gene Snow, Scott Kalitta's Lone Funny Car Win, The Super in Super Dave Schultz, Warren Johnson and Scott Geoffrion, Eddie Hill, Larry Dixon, Tony Schumacher, John Force and Tommy Johnson,Jr. among others and before it goes away, we will get Tony Stewart in Houston for the Only Time Ever, in AJ Foyt Territory.

I'd feel that it was All Go from the Start, in a Period that Changed Sports Forever, and not all for the better. Atlanta Dragway had 5 Years in the Changer when they had Tripp Shumake and Lee Shepherd be the Stars in the Maiden Supernova.

I feel that while we are on All Go, I would wish the NHRA, Houston and the Motorsports Community was All Go about a Permanent Auto Racing Facility and I don't want the illicit behaviors in that area be going and all gone like a Toddler. We'd appreciate Ennis more, especially when we don't have nice things in Blue Collar DFW, and Route 66 was GONE! like NSYNC Last Hit and Gateway has had 5 or 6 Iteriations.

Houston Raceway Park Won't Be Back For 2023

Hitting my Email Feed this Morning that Houston Raceway Park will end its run in 2022 is shocking, because Houston Raceway Park was home to Scott Kalitta, Jeg Coughlin,Jr., Antron Brown and Tony Schumacher's Maiden National Event Glories.

I'd feel like saying there is not another Major National Motorsports Event in Houston and it is the 4th Largest Media Market in the United States. This is the Home where Gene Snow and Eddie Hill changed the course of Drag Racing History and I am buggin' that the Houses of Speed are Gone Forever.

Even though 20 Years Ago Today was Jimmie Johnson's 1st Stock Car Victory at the 1st Race at Chicagoland Speedway, which is gone forever, I feel that one of the things I'd want to see is Major Car Relationships with Major to High Major Car Markets and Retrofitting Milwaukee Mile's All New, especially when that is cheaper and more efficient than that of Phoenix's Renovation.

Rachel Meyer is Not Happy With the NHRA for Delaying Sportsman Racing

Generally, the issue with Sportsman Classes and Houston Raceway Park keep happening over and over and over and over and again and again and again and again and, wait for it, AGAIN! since Houston Raceway Park underestimated Wet Grounds in 2013. The latest episode in Houston Raceway Park vs. the Sportsmen Classes is Rachel Meyer being not happy with the NHRA for Delaying Sportsman Racing.

I would feel the NHRA is in the middle of a Star Crunch, along with a Sponsor Crunch. I'd hate to see Tony Stewart get drug into the NHRA just to start Smoke vs. Sarge all over again or if Tanner Gray's Late Model Career doesn't take off, it would be a proving ground to restart his Drag Racing Career.

Both of these would be met with salty looks, and I don't think it would be responsible just to want to restart Burke Lakefront, or even go as far as turning Burke Lakefront into an actual Road Course just to restart Indy Cars only to be drug into sponsoring IndyCar.

Trying to restart the Young and Hip would cause more problems than it solves, especially if people are not ready. The real issue is with the Street Outlaws taking NHRA Properties, especially when the Sullivan County Sheriff had to chase them out of Bristol.

The truth is Raw Emotions and Nitro do not mix. Having fans get on the case over these Pandemic Years is not fun and the whole purpose of Drag Racing, or any Racing or Sports is to have fun.

I would feel like why not restore the Ennis-Baytown National Event Double Double?

I would feel like the Ennis-Baytown National Event Double Double should be restored, for a myriad of reasons. With Ennis and the Texas Motorplex, having a date Before Mother's Day would be not the rosiest thing, but, we would have to have the double one way or another.

And, I would want to see Baytown restore its signature Fall Date as a Goodwill Gesture from the NHRA. Houston Raceway Park's Venue History would be younger than its Dallas-Fort Worth Counterpart, and I would feel better if it was a Full Fuel Run for a Revival of its Signature Date.

What I don't see enough is a Revival of a No-Nonsense Houston, and not just one who is constantly overcrowded and life is miserable. What I would see out of Baytown is having the Texas Final because it would be the Last NHRA Show in Texas for the Calendar Year.

I don't know about maneuvering contracts, but, I would like to see a Cajun Revival at Baton Rouge, too. There is not a whole lot of Young and Hip All New Built Dragstrips, and I would balk at these "Take the Money and Run" events, because their Swerve is getting old.

None of us like to complain to complain or be heard, but, I feel like there'd have to be better than Media Specialists running the racing show.

San Jacinto's Revival Has to Revitalize Baytown

I feel like San Jacinto Mall's Revival Has to Revitalize Baytown, which its biggest claim to fame is Houston Raceway Park. I feel like Baytown should redouble their committment to infrastructure and a lot of quality infrastructure people had a Houston or Southeast Texas High School and College Education.

Baytown is not the flashiest, but one of the Hardest Working Suburbs in their Market. I feel it would help the Baytown Community get and keep a High Profile by at least having safe shopping.

I don't necessarily want to droll on and on about stuff that would be the furthest from finished or at home, but, I'd think the locals should have a major say about redevelopment.

I doubt any intangible expectations would be done in 90 Days, but, I am sure resolving to quality and not just getting passed on by would have to be the Educational Mission.

No one wants to see a Joker crowd legitamacy, and no one really likes to see turnover until your tired of changing the letterheads, because the Club should be both Fun and A Privilege at the Same Time.
