Carlos Correa is Not Worth Dancing Over in Cedar Rapids

There are legitimate reasons why I don't want to be at Home, and the Houston Astros scalding the Sport of Baseball and the Joy of Baseball Started in Cedar Rapids. I feel that Carlos Correa is Not Worth Dancing Over in Cedar Rapids at all.

I feel that it would set up the Kernels being genuinely Cursed and Hexed at the Same Time. What the Astros set the table up is having to make the Dodgers get the Play In Rematch from 1980 where they ran like Scalded Dogs to Get and they Still Lost in 2017, and denying a Fall Classic in the Process.

I wish it was a Fraudulent Bloop like the Midnight Rider, but, no no no....

The 2019 Flip Series was surreal from the Word Go with the Nationals and that thankfully, ended in a Nationals Pennant. That was not the end of it, either.

The Astros are taking on their Past NL West Rivals in the Atlanta Braves in the Most Mismatched Year in Baseball History, and to make it even worse, the Dodgers lost their Back to Back on Trevor Bauer and Tommy Lasorda would have more than something to say about the errors the Dodgers Organization have pulled off.

I feel the irony of an Incompetent Government and Bad Sports are swishing around and not in a Good Way, either.

How Come is it the Astros have not had an Honorable Hall of Famer?

I feel how come is it the Astros have not had an Honorable Hall of Famer? I feel with Craig Biggio not earning "The Honorable" Fair and Square like other Baseball Hall of Famers, I really have a problem with why the Astros can't just vote Cooperstown?

The Baseball Rangers have Nolan Ryan in the Hall of Fame, mainly as a Bargaining Chip to save Baseball in Dallas-Fort Worth and they where tired of all their Stars getting traded. But, the Closest they have to an In House Hall of Famer is Pudge Rodriguez, which his Hall of Fame Bid was Clouded by Steroid Allegations they could never prove.

The Anaheim Angels do not have All Time Hall of Famers in their Outfield and historically, they'd have Cedar Rapids Hall of Famers, but, not Baseball Hall of Famers as that disconnect is problematic in both Orange and Linn Counties.

The Houston Astros Denied 2 True Fall Classics

The Houston Astros Denied 2 True Fall Classics and this is where the Late 2010's or 20Teens have not died and not in a good way, either. The first True Fall Classic they've denied was 2017, when they won the pennant and that would have broken the wait for a Yankees-Dodgers World Series and the second True Fall Classic they've denied was 2019 when the Nationals should have had the chance to take on the Yankees.

Instead, it made Los Angeles madder and having a true Interleague Series where they'd flip right and left to the point that that it was the opposite of their Traditional League Homes (Washington being American League, and Houston being National League).

What would make a World Series a Fall Classic? Either Clinching at Home, or Breaking an After All These Years Hex. Public Opinion would dull a Fall Classic and having it be louder than a State Tournament would cheapen the Fall Classic.

Last decade, we only had 2 True Fall Classic Nominations and Both Where Hex Busters as in Kansas City Royals (1985) and the Chicago Cubs Championship Hex Buster (1908). Surprisingly, we have had a deeper bank of Fall Classics in the 2000's.

I feel that the plot of having to dismantle 2 True Fall Classics would follow all the way back to the Northwest Side of Cedar Rapids. I doubt that our Civic Self Esteem likes to view itself as hexed, but, the Trout Drought follows its way back to Eastern Iowa with Cedar Rapids's Championship Hex, and the irritation of not having Clinton and Burlington in League or even a Proper Midwest League.

The Trout Drought does not help Baseball and Softball Numbers in Eastern Iowa, even having who is 8th Grade and who'd actually be Freshmen later that Summer. What the Quad City River Bandits did was worsen the Cedar Rapids Kernels Championship Hex and Sink the Trout Drought and Baseball's Self Esteem Worse in Eastern Iowa.

This is a clinical issue if one did exist.

Would a Foamer Promotion Fly Today?

I read about how the Houston Astros in the Late 1970's had a Foamer (Combination of Beer and Home Runs) Promotions to encourage people to get in the Astrodome. The liquor commissioners or the dram commissioners would have a time greenlighting such a promotion.

We would have problems selling such a promotion, because Open Container Laws would be more stringent amid other things, and that would be the rub. This year would be a That '70's Show Year in the Future and I would only imagine what problems would incur.

We would have more beer and liquor options than we would have in the 1970's and most times, even for Cab or Public Transit, you'd have to act well mannered. It would be like having to be focused on the road while riding on the School Bus.

It would not be one of the more infamous Beer Nights (10 Cent Beer Night, IE) and it was more financial and ingenious than some of the more impulsive promotions.

Would the Astros Roll Be Grounded?

I feel that in the history of worst times decisions, Deposed GM Taubman would be the latest entry. For having as many Wins as the 2001 Seattle Mariners, deposing the seas for an even more annoying World Champion and really fan the flames for realignment before true expansion is not good.

Even though we'd have a Flood of Women in Power, but, challenging them over unstable individuals is a big red line. We'd have bushels of them and the only good thing is to cut them off or not give them any favors to start with.

I feel like what makes me lose it is how the continued Cedar Rapids Kernels Championship Hex has left on my fair city. That would be equal parts memorable and devasting on the Northwest Side as much as on the East Side of Davenport enabling the rocket fuel on the Astros quest for glory.

I don't know about this, other than wanting the Washington Senators back for the 1st Time Since 1971, them and Milwaukee Brewers being in the AL the same as Houston would be in the NL, and the Expos Revival and Buffalo being ripe for Expansion or the inital wave of expansion.

For Baseball's Bicentennial, we'd need a lot of things cleared up and by next Labor Day, I'd like to see a San Diego-Baltimore or Seattle-Atlanta World Series be on my table rather than token matchups on annoyance and I'd look for the Forest Green and the Money Green Minnesota Twins Pennants when they'd stop losing left and right in the 2nd Season.

Houston Pro Teams at UT Austin Should Be On the Table

I feel that the short term home until we have a plan and a strategy for Houston Sports Homes is University of Texas at Austin. I feel that it would only be fair to have a single temporary home for a while post-Harvey for Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, Houston Texans and the Houston Astros.

Morally, I feel there should be a compass here, especially if we didn't have Chicago or Chicagoland in commission in the future. But, I feel, we need to decide early where, when and what to roll, especially if we had to play games in or play school in, which the 2nd is not always realistic.

I feel one huge piece later on is the inevitable demolition for the Astrodome. I feel the Astrodome Demolition Plan needs to include these things: Expansion of the Preexisting NRG Stadium to make it a Houston Equal to Michigan Stadium, Calling the Astrodome Houston's Valley Ranch and Houston Football Hall of Fame to omnibus Oilers History back to Texas and to have Houston Pro Football Return as the Oilers, too.

Goodell doesn't exude the same cooperation as Tagliabue. I feel like, too, as a hardworking Sportsman, I only feel its fair to look at all options on the table.
