I feel like the fabric of Boston Sports Lore is Boston College still having Gambling Problems Bets Off or the NCAA can't jones, The Red Sox not being above the Curse of the Bambino OR Greater than Ted Williams, The Bruins being Above Bourque, but, the Heights would have been greater with Bourque raising that trophy in the Hub B, the Celtics not drafting Good Since Len Bias, and that includes the Truth's near death experience, The Revs inabilty to win the league, and the Patriot Way being forged out of never being 1-15 and 2-14 ever again.
And, the TB12 Way is a Whitewater Rapids against a series of Snowouts. And, this curse of never being 1-15 and 2-14 was grown out of actual profanity, among other things. This curse is never going back to 2004, and even if they did win one on their own, it feels like a long shadow that Gillette Stadium's Shell would leave alone and behind.
I mean, who wouldn't want to turn the table for Drew Henson? Other than that episode never making the media, but, hailstorms only bring hail sales. Sadly, it feels like anyone could be a Football Person or a something else person and dysfunction blows its lid out when you have nothing to run to or offer.
It would not all be Freakin' Sweet, but, 17 Years of Headaches would be an apt equalizer, and not a happy one either. March 1st would be the tail of Ray Rice and The Late Aaron Hernandez's Contracts, but, I feel like it feels like the league went to anyone and we are not better off.
