Kenny Irwin,Jr. did the Slide Job the best in my memory, and he died 18 Years Ago Yesterday. But, for as much as we are later daring the Waltrips and Dale Jr. into hiding later, but, I feel the honesty is slipping from my hands.
I'd always feel more comfortable racing my heroes with my heroes as opposed to my friends. And, the honesty in the White Room or the White Mansion of Cyberspace has always been bent out of shape.
And, Kenny Irwin,Jr. actually had to need to have his Mom bring him to his 1st Job Interview. And, there where times where his painful lack of Social Skills shown. And it was as easy to throw he was the smoothest with any Open Wheel, but, honestly, it was the truth.
And, his NASCAR Career was pockmarked with tragedy to the end, where his 1st Truck Win was negatively marked by losing John Nemechek, which was later the namesake of his nephew, John Hunter Nemechek, leaving a more tortured Truman Show than Mr. Dale Earnhardt,Jr. . He won the Rookie of the Year no thanks to Steve Park getting hurt and he underacheived in the Robert Yates 28 and was the biggest Rainier/ Yates 28 Underachiever in car history, to put it bluntly.
And, losing him in New Hampshire deepened the wheels on the Safety Movement, even though we wouldn't have had wanted to lose Irwin and Adam Petty and have Steve Park get injured in Kevin Coganesque wrecks, but, it would have deepened the Pros.
