I really, really hope the Waterloo Greyhound Park Land is not brown and vacant indefinitely like the Greyhound Park was. And, other than memorializing serious workplaces and the best way to honor them is to build proper traditions, but, I feel there has to be a return plan for Dirt Track Stock Car Racing and a Waterloo Diamonds Revival to not just crumble.
Like a vacant building, these are the two most credible traditions starving for life. Other than Independent League Baseball, which I scoff at quality, and a future of Riverfront Stadium is debatable, and I'd really like to see a Cedar Rapids-Waterloo Pro Minor League Rivalry Again and the missing stars in Eastern Iowa Minor League Baseball are in Eastern Iowa.
And, I feel like not wanting to go through another Summer like "EVERYTHING'S MISSING! EVERYONE'S MISSING!" like the 2010 Florida Gators, but, if Big Time Stock Truck Racing made its proper entrance in Eastern Iowa, I'd want to see Hornaday..Skinnner...Sprague... Championship Battle rather than being trite or having Cup Racing and Michael Annett wins in front of a Kamp Krusty of Waterloo's Hardest Working Fans.
Before any of this was to take off, you'd not only have to put money in the Meskwaki Settlement so they'd not always need Gamblers and Truckers, and the National Cattle Congress so they'd grow wings on serious building development.
