Even though I'd go deep before the season, which is my custom, but, here is the first poll of the season 3 Weeks before ANY Actual Game Week of the Season and Without Further Ado, here is my College Football Poll..
1 IA SEC Missouri 0-0 1-0 8-13 @ Kansas IDLE
Even though I wrote in the first Lawrence Border War Since 2005, but, I feel any actual returns would start in Lawrence regarding that rivalry.
2 D3 Midwest Cornell College 0-0 1-0 9-1@ Iowa Wesleyan IDLE +22
And, the actual openers for Cornell and Iowa Wesleyan could actually pass for a ranked game
3 D2 GNAC Simon Fraser 0-0 1-0 9-1 Williamette U. IDLE NR
4 IA Big Ten Indiana 8-7 Tennessee IDLE -2
Even though the Revival Barrel Series would start in earnest ( A Consolidation of 2 Past Kentucky Trophies), but, Tennessee's readiness is suspect.
5 IA Big XII Iowa State 8-7 @ Nebraska IDLE -2
Even though I am writing in the first Non Conference Nebraska for the Defending National Champions of the National Championship of College Football the sport, but, I feel Nebraska is not a good program.
6 IA MAC Northern Illinois 9-1 @ Iowa IDLE -2
Northern Illinois actually has the toughest schedule in the country.
7 IA AAC SMU 8-16 @ Mount Union (OH) IDLE -2
Mount Union has no leadership this Season.
8 IA ACC Virginia 8-15 Buena Vista IDLE -2
The only program Virginia is above close to them in proper talent is Tennessee and that is not good.
9 IA Sun Belt Georgia State 8-9 Utah IDLE -2
The Panthers are looking to bring a title to Turner Field.
10 IA Mtn. West UNLV 8-15 @ Hampton IDLE -2
UNLV is the ONLY member of the 1999 Mountain 8 NOT to win a Conference Title in the Mountain West.
11 CFB Independent New Mexico State 8-8 @ Michigan -2
New Mexico State is the only other "sure" Playoff/Postseason Team in FBS. (Georgia is the other)
12 IA Pac 12 Cal 8-17 Marshall IDLE -2
I am picking Cal to win the Pac 12 because Cal would need to break an "After All these Years" Conference TItle Hex before they can be a Playoff Team.
13 IA CUSA Charlotte 8-15 Linfield IDLE -2
If this was real reality, upsetting the best of the Small Western College Football Programs would be a cherry on the top.
14 IAA MVFC Northern Iowa 8-18 @ Duke IDLE -2
The key here for the Panthers is to treat Duke like its the Hawkeyes.
15 IAA Ivy Harvard 9-15 San Diego IDLE -2
The Crimson have the longest tenured Division I (Uninterrupted) College Football Coach (1994).
16 IAA Big South Kennesaw State 8-30 @ 9 Georgia State IDLE -2
This Battle for East Atlanta has to be a Division I Football Game of the Year

Could the Spiders leave Mount Pleasant WITHOUT Being Upset?
18 IAA MEAC Savannah State 8-14 @ Notre Dame IDLE -2
I am writing in (or at least trying to) have Savannah State be the Smallest Notre Dame Opponent to leave Notre Dame Stadium with the Upset Win. And, both twin separate but unrelated New Mexico State and Savannah State Upsets would leave the unresolved FOWL from Brady Hoke for Brian Kelly exiting and getting back in the Series.

One of 2 In New York City Teams in the Top 25 (Fordham in the Bronx).
20 IAA Pioneer Drake 9-1 William Jewell IDLE -6
Playoff Football will stay at Drake Stadium
21 IAA OVC Tennessee State 9-1 H vs. Bethune-Cookman at Nissan Stadium IDLE -2
Tennessee State and Hampton are the first multi outring Non HBCU IAA Members Since 2004.
22 IAA Patriot Fordham 9-1 @13 Charlotte IDLE -2
The Rams would be a Moment of Truth for the Charlotte 49ers.
23 IAA SoCon Citadel 9-1 @ Wofford IDLE -2
The Citadel would be a formidable opponent for any program.
24 IAA Southland Houston Baptist 9-1 Southwest Baptist IDLE -2
A Big Opening Day for the Huskies this year.
25 IAA SWAC Southern 9-1 @ TCU IDLE -2
I'd hope Southern would at least be competitive, or try to pull the upset against TCU
