I don't think too many feelings would be hurt if Tulane would have been a Sport Top 10, and in their 1998 Undefeated,Untied, and Uncrowned Year, the travesty is they where not Top 10 Once in any Week that year and The Late Brandon Burlsworth's Arkansas Razorbacks where Space Hogs (No Puns Intended) in keeping Tulane from the Top 10, which has fostered bitterness in the Cresent City.
East Regional Final

Kentucky's Restored Legend Year Should have been a Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, because they Beat Florida and Michigan and Florida has never formally been played in the Swamp or the Big House, which as a Student of the Sport, even at my age, is a shame to me.
1st National Championship of College Football Semifinal
Georgia Tech 13-5 vs. Kentucky 16-5
I doubt South Carolina State staying alive would have worsened Central Kentucky's Feelings toward another Laettner, Allemindinger or Wooden.
