Losing Ralph Capitani Stings In a Rough Iowa Racing Winter

I feel like, with no real pride, we've lost Ray and Naomi Grimes, we've lost Vern Moats, State Fair Speedway, the man behind the Gilly 47 in Sprint Car Racing, and we've lost a Classic in Ralph Capitani.

And, this is not a good Iowa Racing Winter. And, Knoxville hasn't opened up for the Summer yet. And, I feel if this state is a Grassroots Racing State, the least we could do is act like it.

And, with so many storms finding us here at home, it is not a good look to go to the other side of town like they got good sushi and the local guy can't get past rubber checks. And, if we could build new malls, why not build new speedways with multipurpose focus?

For better or worse, Iowa Speedway started the Daytona 500 Party Tradition, and I think most of us don't want to sell great racing. We want to actually do great racing, instead, like we want to do Sports, instead.

And, I feel like having to raise economy is more than a few people raising it to the sky. Fun to a lot of people also means safe, too, and I feel like losing Capitani stings like reality hurts like I want to be over the moon on the bad news, but, we can't choose the story, either.
