We have plenty of NHRA and Drag Racing Stars in Orbit today. But, I feel like having to nudge the Garlits-Gwynn Rivalry in Mello Yello Competition Again and not just exhibition would be coup.
I mean, I feel such a move would be a True Rarity and be an agreed upon Sports Moment for all involved. We haven't had Darrell Gwynn compete since he left Baton Rouge with the Top Fuel Points Lead in the Current Day Mello Yello Series in ``1990 before he got hurt in the British Isles.
And, Big Daddy Don Garlits has not competed in the Current Day Mello Yello Series Raceday since the 2003 Gatornationals. And, would a Current Gwynn-Garlits Rivalry change anything in the current Drag Racing Community?
We'd realize we'd have a classsic day not coming back, anyways, but, the sensibility of great days would make anyone happy. I think there has to be challenges, namely the kind that would be the Quarterback of the Defense from Starting Quarterback like LanRam.
But, it would have to be done in quanitities to make TV Money and lifetimes of fortunes. And, the great stories stay great like Paul Kariya rocking Milwaukee like Aerosmith and Kareem did. I hate to be Quanity Cop or Major, but, all of it is true if we need a transcendant like Magic out a Big Market vs. being another scratch off.
