What Des Moines's Capital Stadium would mean is extra incentive to Win at School, but, it wouldn't always mean the Stay in School love and respect we'd get. I would feel out here, we'd have to win our way out of the 1st City Hex one way or another.
This would not be the 72nd Extra Hole at Jones Park AFTER 72 Holes of Weekend Golf and neither of the Other 143 where insignificant. If it was my Elders, I would feel bereft our Superiority has been erased to nothing.
If every big school had 2A Talent, where does that leave the 2A or 1A School? 6, 7. 8. or 9 Man? I don't like how we make a big habit, and a bad one as well, of towers, and not necessarily a Katz Kum and Go or even the Court Street Hy-Vee in my Hometown.
This would be less silly than having a Domed Stadium in Town, realizing the School Board would have none of it. I don't know if we'd accept The City State Championship, the Boot State Championship, or a Reckless Waterloo East-Waterloo West State Championship any better than Dowling-Valley, but, we'd have to rediscover the 8-8 Principle of 2000.
