I feel like this year, the no-nonsense, take no abuse true in the sense of the phrase return of the Nationally Ranked Cedar Rapids Jefferson Fighting J-Hawks should have happened. To be fair, for as much as the 2nd City Hex of theirs get freed up, I'd wanted the State and the Country to have the thrill and the joy of a legit miracle season.
What if the 1st City Hex was broken? For starters, into the Early 1990s, Jefferson was not necessarily a Playoff Team,but, a solid team nonetheless. Then, you got river on oceans of discipline and academic and legal issues that led to the worst 5 Years in Cedar Rapids Public and Parochial Football History.
With Iowa City being the toast of the State and the Country for being complete, I'd feel that miracle 2000 Seasons unceremonious Cedar Falls upset cut open a tear in time. The Odessa High Aggravations are everyday, and there has been no real hiding it through the years.
The sense in all of this, even though I would have wanted to see my fair city conquer the tougher 3A Pegs, but, there are cities closer to that peg than Cedar Rapids is currently.
