Jeff Purvis was a Relief Driver for BOTH Morgan McClure and Robert Yates Late in 1993...

Jeff Purvis's Racing Salad Days where spent in Dirt Late Model. But, his National Meteor Rose when he was relief driver to both Robert Yates and Morgan McClure. I don't want to milk my Lincoln Kennedy Links or my personal favorite, the hidden links between both organizations.

Jeff Purvis was the 1st Call after Davey Allison died in 1993 as a Relief Driver. He was the first call, making the state Tennessee Orange and Gold, one of the best Sports Lore Storylines to this day, for Morgan McClure after Ernie Irvan got his wish in getting out.

Both Morgan McClure and Robert Yates got their start from Cup Series Powerhouses .G.C. Spencer and Harry Rainier. .G.C. Spencer was the ultimate Runner Up Non Winner in Cup Series History, and Harry Rainier was the DEI before DEI where they'd live for Daytona and Talladega more than the other tracks. Both where not in the Charlotte Machine (Spencer and Rainier).

The full time replacement for Ernie Irvan was Sterling Marlin and he wasn't going to be 2nd for a 10th Time. Bobby Hamilton was the last winner for Morgan McClure and he wanted the Brickyard 400 Pole and that Road Course Win badly.

Jeff Purvis did not his win with either Yates or McClure. Especially when Morgan McClure was a tight ship compared to Newman Haas, which paid the biggest contract in Sports in 1995 for Michael Andretti.

Robert Yates tried to give it another go with the Beloved 28 and the last Mountain of Morgan McClure, which is a relative Sharona to their Sports Illustrated Highs, was beating Jeremy Mayfield out of the 2007 Brickyard 400.
