I feel like I am digging, for good reason, wanting to see Dover Downs Return to Blacktop Asphalt and 500 Mile and Laps and Start Night Racing. The Summer Race is Later in the Summer, not Earlier and I feel there has to be more concern for it than Chicago Interstates.
I don't think their dates are unbankable, but, I'd really, really think Night Racing is having to be the equalizer in people spending their Hard Earned Money they wouldn't spend otherwise. Nobody's badgering Dover Downs into the Preakness, which that is not happening, and we'd need to have Dover Downs at least be on table for new things, including Reviving the Baltimore Colts and Having their Training Camp at Dover Downs.
Spiritually, it would be a mutual stretch to stretch the Multi in the Multi Purpose because it already is home to Horses and Horsepower. But, I feel the concern for the place is not aired out and we could have our Western Swing as the Championship (Not Popular, But Necessary), but, their New Jersey and PA Counterparts are howling for new grounds and Speedways, which it would be both "Fun While It Lasted" and "Fun While It's Here" at the same time.
