The one people who still aren't happy their party was ruined and that was 7 Years Ago, Flagpole and All, the Wichita State Shockers, must be counting the days and games to the National Championship.
I am not necessarily looking to pull stories out left and right, but, I am believing if Wichita State's Student Body must be arching the days to win the NCAA Championship and raise their Giant Banner Formally next Midnight Madness.
The Shockers haven't been in the MVC in 3 Years and the big and rude surprise is Valpo doesn't ring the same bells as the Shockers in our communities. I would not want to betray the educational mission (Missouri in the Missouri Valley) or be left outmoded and starving for new life, and that is still not enough.
Kansas and Florida's Hold on Interscholastic Athletics will run their course in time, and I feel I couldn't do anything to rush Shockers Football back on the field to be a response to UConn, but, an NCAA Championship would change everything for the Communities around Wichita again.
