The Possibility of a Carter-Yates State Championship in 4A Division I Could Actually Happen in 2020...

I bugged out in my 1601st Post about the Dallas Carter Cowboys and the Houston Yates Lions meeting in the State Championship in the 50th Anniversary of an Intergrated University Interscholastic League. I feel, amid other things, having a Potential 5A District 2 Fort Worth vs. Dallas Semifinal Draw Out the People and Odessa Permian Going About the Big School Trifecta (4A, 5A, and 6A) in their History are things I have not let go unnoticed.

The road to a Carter-Yates State Championship would be Improbable, if not unbelievable, especially when it is Yates 35th of their Lone UIL, and the 25 Months Carter Kept their Lone UIL would be even more not lost. It would have to be a Million Person Event at AT and T Stadium, and to tell you the truth, would we have 500,000 in Oak Cliff or the 3rd Ward?

As a Sports Fan, having to persuade a thing that should have happened at the Super Bowl would be a tough sell to most Texans. Texas Stadium was never more than Texas Memorial Stadium in most of its years. Even though I would be a Not So Silent Observer from up here in Iowa, I would be aware of the Historical Implications of Such a Game, but, the Roadmap to Such a Game.

In Texas 4A Division I, having a Region 2 Dallas vs. Fort Worth Final and a Region 3 Yates vs. East Texas Final would be a More Difficult Out than that of a Potential State Championship Game rocking Jerry World December 18th. Would Carter need the superseding Weekend the Cotton Bowl, or Ford Stadium, or the Star instead of having to go back to Texas Tech by Default and Yates would have to be in Houston or Harris County.

To be brutally honest, it would take more than a lot from us not just in Texas, but, throughout the West and the expectation of SMU or Houston being a Football Powerhouse because of this would be unreal like seeing someone record an album on TV or the Radio Live and expect the same wax the second it comes off the truck in the Stores.
