We Have a Kafkaesque Hold on the Eastern Iowa Sports Scene

 I feel that the Kafkaesque Holds on the Eastern Iowa Sports Scene can't go unnoticed, being a Lifelong Eastern Iowan. Hopefully, this is the year we get back to The County, Coe and Cornell again. 

Cedar Rapids Jefferson's Eligibility Numbers is Real to Eastern Iowa and it is a Real Scare to a lot of things. You can argue that Cedar Rapids Washington has an equal hold, but, the City has not been consistent for the longest time for the right reasons.

I feel the Kafkaisms that are the most blatant is that Iowa has kept running a Family Show to the ground. The Ferentzes keep thinking like its NCAA Football 23, The Brandses keep thinking like its War Games, and The McCafferys keep Playing Angry, at the Expense of Very Winnable NCAA and Big Ten Championships. 

They all have Problems and those Problems begin with the Lack of Interested Students or Student Athletes. What is irritating is the insistence on Not Faking Punts or Injuries, and Iowa chased a Potential Sandy Boyd out before. We just have Bad Leadership.

The irritating reliance on Not Faking Punts or Injuries when everyone else does God Knows What would not deter Playoff Questions, especially when we have had 50 of them in High School Football. The Iowa City Drunken Narcolepsy of Playoff Questions will worsen if Iowa State had a Car Crushing Recruiting Score become a Car Crushing NFL Draft Pick and Pro Football Hall of Famer.

The Drinking Problems are So Bad that People Forget Iowa was Once a More Civilized Campus and a Civilized Campus Culture. I feel irritation that generally, our High School Wrestling Scene had Kids Clubs and Real Family Battles that anchored cultures. Instead, I feel a sense of defeat before we get there.

Other than ruining AAU Basketball Forever, Iowa keeps Having Chances and Having Chances and gets 0 Regular Season Championships. If we keep running the way we are, Indiana will steal our Brownies and not give them up.

We'd actually need a Replacement to Hawkeye Downs for a Lot of Reasons. What is blatant and rude is iRacing has not come to Eastern Iowa and even in the ever expanding Dirt Track Scene, we get the Johnny Carson Treatment. There are not a lot of Good Options to Televise Actual Races from Eastern Iowa, and that is hard, especially if the Roadmap to Raceday Coverage is not good.

We should be home to Quality or If Not Great Baseball throughout Eastern Iowa, and what is not OK is the Minor League Realignment tore up Eastern Iowa and as a Consequence, Player Development hit the deck. The Diamonds have not Played Since the Awful Year of 1993 and the Kernels have not raised a Pennant Since 1994.

I keep yelling that our Hockey Culture has gotten greasier and greasier and I feel that marketing Women's Fashion as opposed to 2020's 10 Cent Beer Night is a Better Idea. What I would really want, besides Women's Fashion, which is a Tolerable Bone, is having more Summer Vacation Ice Rinks installed.

I can't just do that and that is very irritating.
