The Yuill Brothers Pontiac J2000s where T-Rexes before T-Rex became fashionable in Cup 15 Years Later. A lot of people outside of Drag Racing are not aware of the Yuills Bid to Futurize Pro Stock.
Let's think about how the 500 Cubic Inch Pro Stock Came About in the Early 1980s. A lot of it grew out of the Mountain Motor Orbit and the general push for Smaller Cars.
The Pontiac J2000 was so revoltutionary that it shook and still shakes Pro Stock today. It was not a comfortable car to race and it was a Better Match Race than a National Event Car. The J2000 was not a farce car, instead it was so much future it made the heartiest Stock Fan Uncomfortable.
If T-Rex was not built by as many people as the Titanic, it would have been the J2000. It was built in Reno, Nevada and it still is better known for Aerospace than Auto Racing. It was not a Corporate Build.
It was built for 1982 and the Yuill's J2000 made Buster Couch see the future in having to see Stock Cars be part of Pro Stock Car.
