I feel this has to be necessary but true that Teen Movies and Hee Haw have the Same Problem as their releases even on DVD or even Cable are complicated by rights fees. Where the Teen Movies get mad is the Directors for the Longest Time having to pay for Music again in the Transfer from VHS to DVD.
Where Gray Television has not been a Significant Caretaker of the Grand Ole Opry Brand is where they haven't payed or wanted to pay beyond the Dozen Hee Haw Classics. This rubs Rural Communities the Wrong Way, and they gleefully signed up for Cable TV and Satellite to keep seeing their episodes.
Gray and the Grand Ole Opry want to buy Austin City Limits and to be fair, it is Austin City Limited and heaven forbid we'd go down the road to Billie Eilish and Luke Bryan and we had Willie Nelson and Ray Charles before, not Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
What is wrong is Austin is being exploited and no one is putting money back into TSU. Even though Drake made it into a Song, but, the Song Alone is not going to resolve Texas Southern's Coffers, especially if they've been the Image Problem among HBCU's.
Certainly, you can't put up Milwaukee #'s without getting a Cut Out of It and me having to be Warning Off from the Audience is not Going to Win Warm or Fuzzy Feelings.
