If the WNBA Championship Came to Des Moines, We Would Have a Parade and We Wouldn't Print Merchandise Fast Enough. This would be in response to Chicago not having any Sky Championship Merchandise and not even having a Parade for the Sky.
Our Ladies would deserve better and that would not even be an afterthought. The attitude in Iowa around Women's Sports is we where the 1st In Line to It and a lot of other places, Illinois Included, had to add it by threat of lawsuit.
The WNBA is 25 Years Old and what is Unbelievable is that the NBA has not always had the best relationship with the Women's Sports Community. It is hard to find or even believe that should the WNBA expand into the Home of the State Championship, there would be a Return to Home.
Again, this is a League that has Plane Issues and that is ABA-esque.
