For my 2400th Post, One Way or Another, This TEGNA-Mediacom Standoff Will End. I'd feel this Standoff has gone on too long and cost Iowa State Fans the chance to see the Cyclones Play and Win their First Game after January 1st in School History and singlehandedly caused the Oscars Bad Ratings.
From Cedar Rapids, this is a Bad Look and this is the Home of the State Tournament WOI and Home of High School Sports WOI! Since My Favorite Stadium John Walters left for the Cyclones a Decade Ago, WOI has been a Comfortable Last not just in Des Moines, but, in State!
Among other things, it has caused high turnover and consternation among long time WOI Viewers. TEGNA has done the Home of the State Tournament Greasy and I feel it is time to SELL, SELL, SELL, SELL if these enablers or Stockholders are calling it time.
This has gone on since December and people are jacked up about not seeing the Cy-Hawk Return on TV already. The unintended consequence of this is having to pack up Sports Bars and Bars like there was not any better.
None of it is flattering and makes Des Moines a Smaller Market than it really is.
