I feel that one of the lures to ensure the World Series of Drag Racing's Future is have it be an NHRA National Event. But, in order to get there, why not a United States Grand Prix Circuit go with the World Series of Drag Racing should Cordova not be in a position to host it.
The Illinois Quad Cities Community is still mad about Memphis Stealing the World Series of Drag Racing from under them in their Worst Year (2015). I wouldn't want the World Series of Drag Racing to go away because the IHRA has been under duress or there is not a suitable plan for replacement.
Cordova is closer to Clinton than the Quad Cities and their Entertainment and General Dollars have taken a hit. We currently have en masse something akin to Oklahoma getting into NCAA Trouble Again, for real, and I feel that this would be a lure akin to the MARK or even the TPC at Deere Run, wooing a World Class Facility to an area that generally wouldn't get it otherwise.
I have known the Quad City Area since I was Little and it has been in bad shape since the Economy turned South in 2008-2009. I'd feel that such a suggestion would go easier in post form, because it would be dismissed otherwise.
