I feel that a lot of Career Model Cars usually are harder to find, especially in the Drag Racing Industry and the options in the Model Car Field have been hard to come by. In the Diecast Industry, it would have to be akin to pulling teeth in having to get to license a Hall of Fame Race Car and get its paint and memory right.
There is not a lot of Bob Glidden, John Force, and Kenny Bernstein Model Car Kits. Finding Drag Racing Diecasts anywhere is a pain, and usually, the first thing that you'd find in the Model Car Kits is to see if you'd have the Drag Racing Kits. Even though Racing is Expensive, but, I do feel the accessibility/ entry point has to be thought of long and hard.
Due to varying management follies, we'd miss Tony Schumacher's Championship Run and Beyond in the Model Car Kits due to the lack of key management, namely when Revell had to cut and run from their usual Fort Worth Office for management reasons.
We don't have a lot of Greg Anderson Model Car or Die Casts or Merchandising and we haven't seen a lot of Matt Hagan or Steve Torrence merchandising. I feel it would come back to "Big Daddy" Don Garlits wanting to keep Drag Racing Small and Approachable, but, in reality, which has been distorted by the CART/IRL Split Years and the subsequent economic crisises is they do not know how to manage things.
Even the most obscure Sports Car Diecasts generally get found at the Sports Stores more than the Drag Racing Diecasts and that is a pain. Even if we mass merchandised like an International Airport, people do generally see through the Bull and the fact that generally, people want to enjoy their weekends.
