I feel like the pervasiveness that is an issue is faking injuries is NOT Fun and or Games! True injuries would be felt in the Governor's Box or the Skybox, let alone the commoners, or even if someone got sick. I feel a good chunk of it is "Nurse's Station" and these Nurses, would turn wise to being clever.
It is not fun and or games, and Concussions would keep you from even going to school like it was a Popped ACL. I would feel the first flop and or seriously devastating injurious play would earn more of a negative radar and I feel like if School or Other Community Members had to warn off someone from Playing or Practicing, I feel it should be taken seriously or very seriously.
True Injuries would deter a Championship or Playoff Run and Fake Injuries, are just as bad. I feel that there'd have to be something to the PA or the Television Crew that Fake Injuries would be spotted because if it was a Cramp, the best way to solve it would be Gatorade or Equal or Water.
If it was a Fake, People's, if not Sponsor's Money would be on the line. Sponsors who are generally Alumni or stick their neck out to Employ College Students, Prospective College Students, or Recent Alumni would not to see their house in the worst light.
The worst light would be not impersonating Bill Walsh, the worst light would be the "I'm Upset, So I Am Getting Hurt to Get Medical Treatment", because un and underinsurance is a rotten secret most places. Just falling down to not burn a time out would not be enough.
That would have other implications, on and off campus as I would not see Iowa fall off like that. Actually, they'd carry the school. But, other places, they'd drag the school just to stay room and board, which is not good.
