I wish that the Ghost of Howard Cosell was not a Ghost and Vin Scully was still doing Dodgers Games! I feel that the serendipity of the follies of the Los Angeles Sports Scene (LeBron Winning in the Bubble, Ranking a White Whale Heat Finals Series, The Dodgers not clinching at Home, but Crashing Arlington Instead, Losing the Rose Bowl to Arlington, Losing the Winternationals to Summer, Tommy Lasorda Dying, and The Dodgers not being able to raise the pennant on Opening Day) would all invite anger and suspicion in a different world.
But, Trevor Bauer is known to be a Hothead and if I had a very major regret, giving a Hothead who has Political Opinions a Platform is Dangerous and Violent. Most agents would not want to work with Trevor Bauer and essentially leaving the work to another kid, which Rachel Luba is far from, is dangerous and unnerving.
We have a Phone Book of Everyone's Home Run Record, but, not anything to save our lives. I look at Trevor Bauer as a Swee'Pea, where instead of helping, all he does is aggravate. It would blow the lid off of Steve Howe, where everyone became tired, or the McCourts, which Baseball had to take ownership of the Dodgers.
And, this kind of bad publicity has a clawing effect on Trinket Sales, which are the biggest source of Dodgers Revenue, and the Dodgers are the kind of team that is multigenerational. I'd think of venues due for replacement, Dodger Stadium is ripe to be above Fenway Park and Wrigley Field for being marked for replacement.
We can't lose Spring Training in Florida, which is why we'd fight hard for the Rays and I don't want to see the Montreal Expos be Someone Else. Dodger Stadium is the Home of SEMA and the clawback is there aren't enough Car Guys or Serious, Non-AAU Baseball Guys out there.
