I feel that the Pinnacle, Beacon, and Pedestal of Public Trust NASCAR Cup Series Numbers that need to be back Full Time is the 28! This is not opinion and especially when Racing got Bigger, the 28 was later pushed to the side.
I'd want to see the T28 do the White Whale Cup Series Championship at Some Point it never did. The T28 would be tied to the Texaco Havoline Ford Years that started with the Late Davey Allison, and included other racers.
I do feel that the Unresolved Matter of treating the Brickyard 400 like the Brickyard 400 again is necessary because Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison turned testing laps at the Brickyard, but, never turned competitive laps.
Even though we where making up for Sports Car Racing and Indy Car Racing's Problems of that Period, but, the hole in the non-recovery is having to say the 28 is for the Kids, Lexington and Birmingham, 55 is for Harlan, 61 is for Western New York, 90 is for Richmond, and 99 is for Vancouver, and I would get a kick out of those numbers having to be based out of those regions.
