I am getting on my run and not happy that the pot and the kettle is painted black. I would say St. Cloud State University and Minnesota Crookston Dropping Football is a Side Effect of the MIAC Dropping St. Thomas.
If this was a Potshot, it would have been done. But, in reality, the only way to equalize St. Cloud State in College Hockey would be Districtize College Hockey.
There'd be people at some point who'd restart College Football at either School in a later time and place.
What it takes from the Public and Parochial Schools in those communities is Quality Coaching and Safe Sports. I don't think we are totally happy with being faculty when we have to live for ourselves and other people, too.
I don't think Quality Leadership would have compulsed one way or another, breaking up and consolidating Division II and III Powerhouses. All of it has been a side of Soft Leadership and Soft Leadership made worse due to a lifetime of changes, some necessary and a lot of others not wanted.
Homecoming has to mean something and it is bad when you have to do 30 to 80 Plays More on Defense, it is worse. I don't claim to have the answers, but, it is an issue that both communities have to resolve on their own.
