Clemson has not had an in-program arrest since 2016. But, Clemson keeps running into Certain Football Alumni or Non-Alumni getting arrested since that time. Even though Clemson is a disciplined program currently, the veer of the Weekend Version of the Program creeping into the Weekday Version of the Program is a troubling sight.
I'd hope if it was the year Trevor Lawrence graduated with a diploma and a Heisman that they'd find a way to win another National Championship. There would be too much invested nationally just to not have that not be an option.
But, Dabo has learned on the job at Clemson and the scarier part would be the Hot Seat would come back up again. Even though there would be a feeling of keeping him for a year or two too long later, but this is the phase that JoePa famously opined Richard Nixon knew more about College Football than Politics.
Alas, we do not have a President with a College Football Problem. We'd have a President with a Real Estate Problem, especially if it is an uncouth individual with Jafar's Palace. 6 Conference Championships in a Row would be a stretch, especially if we tried to run Mount Union Numbers.
I would think the decorum of the program should be taken seriously enough, especially when we would not have that slowed down pseudo Fight Song blare Breaking News. That would really get ugly and that would be ugly before we would run out the tunnel.
